Katherine Rixon – Owner/Broker

Katherine has been selling real estate since 2000, and has been in partnership with Rob Cronin since 2006. She is known for her incredible work ethic, her dedication to her clients, and the ability to get more done in a day than seems humanly possible.

Katherine graduated Cum Laude from Colorado College with a degree in Economics and Environmental Science. Her husband, Buffalo, is an architect and partner with R/L/B. They have two children.

When she is not working, you will find Katherine shuttling kids to ski races in the winter, paddle boarding around Alturas Lake in the summer, and out running the local trails whenever possible.

Rob Cronin – Owner/Agent

Rob has lived in Sun Valley since 1995. He originally moved from New York City to open The Mint for Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. He fell in love with the valley and has since owned several restaurants, including the award-winning Zou 75 in Hailey.

A cancer survivor himself, Rob has been involved with Camp Rainbow Gold (a program for children with cancer and their families) for the past 16 years. He has been recognized nationally for his work with the camp by Realtor Magazine and was awarded the Good Neighbor award in 2006. Rob was also voted “Valley’s Best Realtor” in 2010.

In 2015 Rob married his wife Charli, and instantly became a father to two boys, Ashton and Jadon. He is teaching them to golf, hunt and snowboard. Rob is a true ‘people person’ and loves nothing more than enjoying a glass of wine with clients and friends!

Shannon Brandenburg – Agent/Marketing Director

Shannon is a licensed realtor and the team’s marketing director. Prior to moving to Sun Valley in 2016, she worked in television for many years. As the video production manager for the U.S. Ski Team, Shannon handled a great deal of the social media and online marketing responsibilities. Most recently, she worked as a reporter for KTVB in Boise.

Shannon graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University with a degree in journalism. Her husband Will, an Olympic alpine skier, is the alpine program director for the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation. They welcomed their first child in the spring of 2018.

Nick Smithmason – Agent/Client Relations Manager

Nick moved to the Wood River Valley in 2009 to ski for one winter and has lived here ever since. Before making a career switch to real estate, Nick spent 11 years working as the head of operations for the Mason Family Restaurants. While there he honed his wine tasting skills and earned a Level 1 Sommelier.

Nick is married to the love of his life Adelaide, a Ketchum local and general manager of Enoteca. Adelaide and Nick adopted their two children in 2018 becoming instant parents.

When Nick isn’t working or wine tasting he is skiing or biking with his son, watching his daughter practice gymnastics or hiking with their dog Enzo.

Erika Rixon – Agent

Erika, a former NCAA ski racer, moved to Sun Valley after graduating from the University of Utah. She worked for the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation for 14 years, first coaching and then running their academic program. Along the way, she has also run a successful Arbonne health and wellness business and is now raising two spirited little boys.

Erika is originally from New York but is now a forever Sun Valley resident, having married into the Rixon family. Her husband Carl (also a former ski racer) owns and operates Rixon Excavation.

Erika is kind, fun, persistent, and always calm in the midst of chaos. She loves nothing more than exploring the out-of-doors with her family.
