Buying a Home in Sun Valley
2023 is still looking to be good year to buy a home in Sun Valley. Over the holidays, real estate activity picked up quite a bit, and we are starting to see properties move again. While economic predictions call for a rocky ride in 2023, the good news is forecasters predict that by December, appreciation will be around 5-6%. So, if you are looking to buy and you find a property of interest, act NOW. It’s highly unlikely we will see prices drop further than where they are currently.
Home Prices in Sun Valley
This week, Jordan took a deep dive into the price per square foot of sales in Ketchum between 2019 and 2022 based upon the number of bedrooms. The greatest volume of sales were three-bedroom properties, but the price per square foot did increase per bedroom up to five. This shows the interesting relationship between the number of bedrooms and pricing. It’s also interesting to note that in the past three years, most of the available properties have had three bedrooms. (Developers, take note!)

Last night, Laurel and I attended the grand re-opening of the The Manor House, a local bridal boutique. Sending a BIG congratulations to Jordan’s wife, Allison Jadallah, who recently purchased the business. Allison is sure to take the business to new and great heights.
