Real Property Prices Continue to Rise
Is now a good time to sell? This week Jordan did an analysis of the increase in price per square foot of sales in both Ketchum and Sun Valley over the past ten years. What’s interesting is that even though the number of sales slowed considerably in the last quarter of 2022, prices continued to rise. This seems to indicate that yes, now is still a good time to sell your home.
We also believe that this trend will continue through 2023 as the inventory level remains extraordinarily low. I was chatting with a Park City agent yesterday, and they are seeing the same trend there as well. She commented that by this spring, she believes buyers will be looking back wistfully saying they missed the “bottom” of the market.
The moral: if you can find the property you like, now is a good time to move forward.
Goings-On in Sun Valley
In case you haven’t heard, we had another dump of snow this past week, and there is a storm scheduled to roll in this weekend. The entire mountain is open, and the skiing has been incredible. Hope to see you out there this weekend!
